Nutrient Content of Vineyard Leaves after Prolonged Treated Wastewater Irrigation

چکیده
Water is essential for agricultural productivity and a vital component of food security. In areas with limited water supplies, new resources must be identified. Given these challenges, we attempted to determine whether the use treated wastewater vineyard irrigation compatible sensible methods within context circular economy, where resource sustainability key tenet foodtech. The main purpose this study was using influences foliar nutrient content identifying differences according water. A field experiment designed compare vineyards that had been irrigated years those conventional well For characterization, soil were analyzed. Furthermore, macro micronutrient contents vine leaves, as chlorophyll (SPAD units) measured directly in field, tracked over several seasons relationship between them. We found no nutritional imbalances crop at end study, although there improvements concentrations some nutrients (Mg, Mn Zn). It also noticed plots run risk increasing saline concentrations.

Nutrient and heavy metal content of rapeseed (Brassica napus) irrigated with treated wastewater
Field trials were conducted in winter season in two sites located about 20km north east of Cairo; Gabal Asfar farm (fertile soil) and Berka site (virgin soil). The trials aimed to evaluate the impact of rapeseed irrigation methods with secondary treated wastewater on yield ,quality trace elements and heavy metal content. The results clearly showed that rapeseed crop was not suited to the virgin ...
متن کاملRemote sensing of vineyard FPAR, with implications for irrigation scheduling
Normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) data, acquired at two-meter resolution by an airborne ADAR System 5500, were compared with fraction of photosynthetically active radiation (FPAR) absorbed by commercial vineyards in Napa Valley, California. An empirical line correction was used to transform image digital counts to surface reflectance. “Apparent” NDVI (generated from digital counts) ...
متن کاملEffects of Irrigation with Treated Wastewater on Root and Fruit Mineral Elements of Chemlali Olive Cultivar
Twenty-year-old "Chemlali" olive trees trained to vase and rainfed were investigated in either "on" (2004) or "off" (2003) year. A randomized block design with three blocks and three treatments was used and each experimental plot consisted of nine olive trees. Three treatments were applied: (1) rainfed conditions (RF, used as control treatment); (2) irrigation with well water (WW); and (3) irri...
متن کاملEffect of Treated Wastewater Irrigation on the Proliferation of Antibiotic Resistance in Agricultural Soils
In Israel with its semi-arid climate, water is a limited resource and yet, in the last two decades about 60% of all of Israel’s water resources are directed for agricultural use. This is feasible due to the capacity to recycle water. Treated wastewater (TWW) has become an important source of irrigation water in Israel and other parts of the world due to the pressures of increasing population an...
متن کاملProcedure for the recovery of airborne human enteric viruses during spray irrigation of treated wastewater.
Because of the relatively low number of indigenous enteric viruses recovered from secondary wastewater effluents, their presence in air (aerosols) as a result of wastewater spray irrigation requires extensive sampling. Methodology to allow the recovery of indigenous enteroviruses from aerosols generated at an operational wastewater irrigation site was tested under both laboratory and field cond...
